Between Projects, Holidays and Everything Else

Here’s a general update on what I’ve been up to recently. Nothing major – just a lot of ongoing work, bits of freelance admin, and the usual pile of tasks that seem to multiply when you’re not looking.

At work, most of my time has been taken up with a mix of meetings, admin, and internal projects. I’ve been preparing for upcoming events (nothing public yet), writing up meeting notes, and tracking progress across different areas – especially with the university-wide changes that are filtering through in various ways. It’s been steady but full-on, with lots of behind-the-scenes organising, checking, and following up.

Outside of that, I’ve helped two clients recently with small technical and comms-related tasks. Mostly low-key stuff – some issues with websites, and a bit of digital content support – but useful all the same. I also set up a PeoplePerHour profile to explore freelance options, though I haven’t had much luck with it so far. Most of the invites I’ve received haven’t been a good fit, but I’ll leave it up for now and see if anything more relevant comes through.

On the personal side, my husband and I have booked a couple of holidays. Nothing extravagant, but it’ll be good to have a break in the calendar. Lolita and Mateo – our two dogs – are doing well and keeping us company as always. Daily walks, occasional chaos, and the usual battle over who gets the best spot on the sofa. Other than that, it’s been a case of keeping on top of life admin, juggling to-do lists, and trying not to let things build up too much.

That’s about it for now. I’ll post again when there’s something new to share.
